Kap Farvel
The steel fishing boat Kap Farvel still tied up beside the Quarantine Centre on Macquarie Wharf in Hobart is a bit sad looking. The name is probably taken from the southern most tip of Greenland, Kap Farvel. Greenland is Danish Territory I think, so maybe the ship is also of that origin. She was apparently confiscated after the skipper was caught poaching Orange Roughy operated by a New Zealand based company. At the time of confiscation she was valued at $3M (NZ?).

She was completed in mid 1976 and the 43m vessel has a beam of 8.9m, GRT 453, Kap Farvel was last registered as a fishing vessel out of The Port of Hobart, Tasmania.
